For Julia, Pilates is more than a career – it is her passion. Passion for the creator Joseph Pilates, the fundamentals, logic, fluidity and intelligence behind every single movement and the pleasure and wellbeing derived after a good Pilates class.

From her previous career as a journalist Julia brought along a habit of researching and reading everything related to Pilates, rehab and fitness. Julia is constantly developing professionally in the field by watching videos about movements, patterns and different exercise routines.

Julia had her first experience with Pilates eight years ago in Brazil as a student and the training gave her flexibility, strength and posture back to the same levels as when she was a dancer. She did classical ballet for over 12 years, and Pilates awoken a new awareness of her body again.

In her classes you will sweat, feel parts of your body that you never felt before, be challenged and become more flexible, stronger, stand taller, and most importantly have fun and want to return!

Qualifications:

  • Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor (Cert III and IV in Fitness – ACSF)
  • Trained Mat Pilates at internationally renowned school Stott Pilates.
  • Currently studying Diploma of Fitness, specialising in fitness rehab

Bek Lord has been captivated by yoga for 15 years and following the birth of her children, was able to deepen her practice completing a 350 hour Level 1 Yoga Australia teacher training course.

With her teaching, she seeks to provide a space for people to link body, mind and breath, to connect with themselves on a physical, emotional and spiritual level through the use of flowing Hatha postures, breath work and relaxation.
